Recorded on Halloween and released just in time for Bandcamp Friday, new record from HAMARTIA comes blasting its way into your speakers. Far reaching droning synth loops, flourishes of swelling noise and space washes. this is a harshly psychedelic space noise trip for those looking to pass through this realm, and enter the dimensions of the Dead.
The first track (split in half because of Bandcamp limitations) INVOCATION OF THE DEAD is the weird space jam synth psych freakout of the two, with walls of noise and sound bubbling and building before crashing all down again into a cosmotic miasma.
The final and title track, CONFERRENCE WITH THE DEAD is a revisitation to the world of minimalism that Hamartia has investigated before, such as on albums like FROM THE ECLIPSE OF BLOOD AND LUNARKIND. You have passed the threshold, and are in Their world now. Time, language, and perception no longer flows how you're used to. In time, you will disintegrate into nothing, just like them.
Happy Halloween, Happy Bandcamp Friday, enjoy a new dark psych noise trip from HAMARTIA today!
One of the finest noise records ever conceived. Like an experiment for the whole body, alternating between harsh insanity, and dreamy ambiance, the dynamics at play here are absolutely incredible. Hamartia
Dave Phillips is a fascinating man, and nowhere is this better shown than on his latest release. Insanity through sound, suffering through audio. This will take you to some very dark and odd places. Hamartia
Deep, honest, brutal work. Emotionally devastated suicidal power electronics, some of the most real and painful sounds you're ever likely to hear. A good friend and brother. Hamartia
